SECURITY TO VITAL INSTALLATIONS AND ECONOMIC KEY POINTS

In line with our stringent counter measures to deny / preempt the possible escalation of the tactical initiatives of the communist terrorist movement and other threat groups within our AOR, the following security measures were being implemented:

• Continuous Conduct regular security survey and dry-run/exercise of Security Plans for Vital Installations / Economic Key Points within our AOR.
• Implemented security measures through target hardening at the ingress and egress of the Communication Facilities and Cell Sites to preempt/deny any terroristic plans of threat groups within AOR.

In order to minimize if not totally curb the incidence of highway robbery and bank robbery in AOR, the following measures were undertaken:

• Coordinated Mobile Patrol Along McArthur Hi-way

Establishment of checkpoints/strongpoint in four (4) major exit and entry points in the City to prevent any criminal element in pursuing criminal acts. These are the following activities that were undertaken:

• Employment of force multipliers;
• Implementation of Oplan Cowboy
• Implementation of No Plate No Travel Policy
• Implementation of Passcard System;
• Establishments of common safe stop-over for trucks and buses, and;
• Intensified conduct of random/mobile checkpoints
• Implementation of OPLAN NIGHTWATCH
• Deployment of SWAT Personnel along the main thoroughfares as well as conduct round-the-clock patrol.
