Notable accomplishments of the PCR were translated into the following activities to wit:


SAMBAYAN
With the established linkage between this station and the organized Council of Elders in the city, crime prevention and monitoring in different 31 barangays of the Dagupan City were easily achieved. Today, we have a total of 310 members citywide that are actively involved in crime monitoring and prevention. In addition to the Council of Elders, various existing anti-crime group organizations were maintained and fully-supervised, which serve as Auxiliary Force in helping the Police in its crime monitoring and prevention efforts. The school-based programs for the protection of the community continue to exist, like the deployment of Policemen at school campuses, ready to provide immediate police assistance and public safety services projecting good image of the police as a friend and protector of students and the community as a whole. Likewise, a total of 15 seminars/symposia and liaisoning activities were conducted during the period. The PNP personnel of this station attended Moral Recovery and Value Formation activities with a total of 47. Said moral, spiritual and cultural values of the Dagupan City Police Station personnel were addressed through innovative church-based projects/activities. Likewise, attendance of policemen during City Government’s sponsored celebration of Holy Masses, particularly during occasions and Sunday thereafter. Additionally, this station conducted two (2) consecutives signing of Peace Covenant during the conduct of National, Local Election 2007 and Barangay and SK Election 2007 respectively.


COMMUNITY ASSISTANCE AND DEVELOPMENT
For the period, a total of 10 outreach programs in the form of medical and dental services spearheaded by the Dagupan City Police Station in coordination with City Government, City Health Office and other civic-oriented groups were conducted in the different barangays. These benefited the poverty-stricken families who cannot afford to buy medicines because of the rising prices of commodities and medical supplies.


SANTINIG
POLICE INSTITUTIONAL INFORMATION
With the organization of the Pangasinan PNP Press Corp, police-media relations were strengthened so that proper reporting of current issues and concerns relative to police functions will be properly disseminated to the end users. For the period, there were fourteen (14) press releases prepared by the office aside from the daily radio programs aired through different networks in the province.
POLICE COMMUNITY INFORMATION
Dialogue / pulong-pulong were conducted by the each police precincts to establish an avenue of discussion between and among the community and the police force. Face-to-face interaction with the Barangay, were conducted to promote closer relationship between the police and the community. A total of 31 dialogue/pulong-pulong were conducted wherein topics/lectures on Drug Abuse prevention lectures were imparted to the participants. Different speakers particularly the undersigned Chief of Police and Staff attended the regular media program of this office. Seven (7) radio programs namely: Pulis Balikatan on the Air – DZRH every Monday, 5:00-6:00 PM; Police Desk on the Air DZSD every Tuesday, 8:00-9:00 AM; Pulis Forum- DWPR, every Thursday 9:00-10:00 AM; Servicio Publico-DWDW every last Thursday of the month, 4:00-5:00 PM; and Pulis Pulis Kung Umaksyon Mabilis-DWIN every Saturday 9:00- 10:00 AM are aired regularly so that even the far flung areas can be reached through radio media broadcasts. A total of 46 TV interviews/appearances were attended by the COP and Staff during the period aside from the regular radio program. Topics presented include significant accomplishments, plans and programs, and current issues/concerns affecting police functions.


Information dissemination had been conducted thru the effort of the FJGAD personnel of this station in various schools where lectures regarding rights of children and laws pertaining RA 7610 (Child Abuse Law) and RA 8353 (New Rape Law) and some sorts of gender sensitivity and awareness were conducted. Moreover, implementation of programs had been conducted by this station to provide assistance and distribution of basic needs to beneficiaries.


VALUES AND LEADERSHIP PROGRAM - PNP personnel of this station attended a total of 47 Moral Recovery and Value Formation activities during 2007 and it’s a continuing program. Moral and spiritual doctrines of the Dagupan City Police Station personnel are internalized and practiced which are also uplifted through innovative church-based projects/activities such as attendance and celebration of sponsored Holy Masses particularly during red-letter occasions and Sundays


PNP 2920 / IREPORT MO KAY TSIP – Several complaints addressed to PNP Text 2920 were already acted upon by this station. These public action line based at the NHQS in Camp Crame receives complaints from citizenry which is turned-over to respective CPS / MPS thru channel which has jurisdiction over the grievances and complains that requires police action, assistance and / or investigation.


COMMUNITY ORIENTED POLICING SYSTEM (COPS) - As partners in Anti-Criminality Campaign, this Station entered into Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) and Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with our existing Force Multipliers in AOR. This was done yearly by the Force Multipliers as their expression and willingness as partners in crime reporting, surveillance / monitoring, prevention and suppression as well as environmental protection and civil defense programs of the PNP.


CITIZEN FRIENDLY DESK - The Dagupan City Police Station and all PCP’s had established their “citizen friendly desk” to entertain and receive reports or complaints. All cases brought to the attention of the DCPS PNP offices were acted upon to solicit public trust and confidence.
