- Accomplishment on ILLEGAL DRUGS (RA 9165)
The Dagupan City Police Station has sustained its anti-illegal drug campaign with the continuous support of the National Government Agencies, Local Government and Non-Government Organizations whereby programs and policies related to anti-illegal drug operations were properly addressed. Among the significant accomplishment of this office as a result of the relentless and vigorous anti-illegal drug operations were the arrest of the several drug personalities in AOR.
As a result of the intensified drug operations for the period, it was established that the commonly used drugs are methamphetamine hydrochloride locally known as shabu followed by marijuana. At present, this Station is exerting more effort in collecting available information on the extent of drug abuse in AOR. Continued buy-bust operations and serving of search warrants to suspected pushers/drug traffickers are being undertaken.
- Results of Anti-Drug Operations Supply Reduction Drive
Arrest of Pushers and Users
For the period in review, Dagupan City Police Station conducted a total of sixty-five (65) drug related operations which resulted to the arrest of eighty-four (84) listed and non-listed drug personalities with a total of 30.06 grams of shabu, 99 grms of dried marijuana leaves/seeds and assorted shabu paraphernalia. Sixty-five (65) separate cases for violation of RA 9165 were filed in court.
- Barangay Empowerment Effort
As of 30 June 2008, a total of one (1) drug affected barangay remained which is Bonuan Gueset as category three or threatened to be affected barangay. Due to the relentless effort of the undersigned Chief of Police, one (1) drug affected barangay was empowered. Likewise, 94 listed drug personalities (Pushers/Users) were neutralized.
- Accomplishment on Demand Reduction Drive
Preventive Education and Information
For the period from 01 July 2007 to 30 June 2008, different activities have been conducted by this Office, in coordination with different Local Government Units (LGUs) and Non-Government Organizations (NGOs) with regard to our Demand Reduction Drive.
Public Information and Tri-Media Exposures Activities Participants
The activation and deployment of Drug Watch Volunteers preempts the shipment of illegal drugs along the coastline. The cooperation and support of the community, NGAs, LGUs, and NGOs in the campaign against illegal drugs is an old manifestation of the civil society’s desire to completely eradicate this menace in the community. The continuous supply and demand reduction operations launched by this Office had greatly lessened the proliferation of illegal drugs in the Dagupan City. Meanwhile, with the active support and constant coordination with the LGUs, NGOs and the populace, this Office will continue to launch anti-illegal drug operation to decrease supply and minimize drug related cases in he city.
- Campaign Against Illegal Gambling (RA 9287)
During the period, this Office conducted a total of ten (10) operations resulting to the apprehension of ten (10) for violation of RA 9287. These decreased figures can be attributed to the continuous advocacy, coordination and liaisoning with Archdiocese of Lingayen-Dagupan Archbishop Oscar B Cruz.
- Campaign Against Proliferation of Illegal Video Machines (PD 519)
Intensified Anti-Illegal Gambling Operations against proliferation of illegal video games were continuously conducted during the period. A total of thirty-one (31) separate operation were conducted which resulted to the confiscation of thirty-one (31) units of Video Kareras and Fruit Games locally known as “Ameneng”.
- Campaign Against Loose Firearms (RA 8294)
With the serving of search warrants and the implementation of the “Operation Bakal” of this Office, a total of fourteen (14) persons were arrested while a total of 14 assorted FAs of different calibers were recovered from their custody.
- Campaign Against Illegal Possession of Deadly Weapon (BP 6)
A total of five (5) operations were conducted by this Station leading to the arrest of five (5) suspects for illegally possessing assorted deadly weapons.
- Enforcement of Intellectual Property Rights (PD 8293)
In support to the Optical Media Board’s campaign against the proliferation of pirated VCDs, a total of seven (7) operations were conducted which led to the confiscation of 2328 pieces of DVDs/VCDs/CDs.
- Enforcement of Anti-Pornography (PD 969)
In support to the Optical Media Board’s campaign against the proliferation of pornographic pirated DVDs/VCDs, a total of seven (7) operation were conducted which led to the confiscation of 579 pieces of pornographic DVDs/VCDs.
- Anti-Prostitution (RA 9208 “Anti-Flesh Trade”)
For the period covered, a total of ten (10) separate operations which led to the apprehension of seventy-one (71) GRO’s and three (3) pimps to the differents night spots within AOR. Suspects were charged in court for the violation of the Anti-Flesh Trade.
- RA 8353 Anti-Rape Law in relation to RA 7610
For the period, a total of twelve (12) operation which led to the arrest and subsequent filing of case against the suspect for violation of the Anti-Rape Law in relation to Child Abuse (RA 7610).
- Anti- Violence Against Women and Children (RA 9262)
For the period, a total of six (6) operation which led to the arrest and subsequent filing of separate cases against the suspect for violation of RA 9262.
- Campaign on NO PLATE, NO TRAVEL POLICY
Seventy-nine (79) operations were conducted resulting to the apprehension of Two hundred eighty (280) assorted motorcycles, motorized tricycles and subsequent issuance of TCT’s to violators for not presenting valid documents. However, fifteen (15) assorted motorcycles and tricycles were impounded to this station for failure to present other pertinent documents.
- Arrest of Wanted Persons
During the period in review, a total of sixty-two(62) wanted persons at the city level were arrested by virtue of Arrest Warrants served by elements of this Station. Likewise, one of the Most Wanted Person named Rolly Pugoy was arrested by this station for the crime or Murder with no bail recommended.
- VIP Security
For the period, a total of 68 VIP Security Coverage were conducted for the VIPs while in AOR including foreign dignitaries and local delegates. A total of 1, 476 PNP personnel were involved in the security coverage rendering a total of 5,707 man-hours.
